Volunteer with
Read & Lead 2026

January 29 – March 20, 2026

Read & Lead is a reading program sponsored by the Volunteer Parent Organization (VPO) that encourages literacy and family reading time by modeling consistent reading behavior. Participation in the program is voluntary, but we encourage all families and students to take part. The program is promoted across all grade levels and in every classroom. It encourages both independent reading and reading to students.

Reading Minutes
Over seven weeks, your child will be encouraged to read—or be read to—for a set number of minutes. Students are awarded set prizes for each of the three completed reading sheets. At the end of the multi-week program, students who complete all of the required reading minutes for their grade level will receive an engraved medal with their name. This medal is presented to the student in an assembly later in the spring that families are welcome to attend in celebration of their accomplishment.

Harbor Heights VPO – General Meeting

Day of Tickets: $5 per person or $20 for family four pack

Plus, you can pre-purchase your meal and concessions tickets for a hot dog meal with water and chips, individual hot dog, water, popcorn, candy or cotton candy.

Buy your tickets early!

Grab your friends and get ready for a night of fun night with games, music, dancing, fun activities, and concessions. Funds raised support our school through the various programs hosted by the Volunteer Parent Organization.

Volunteer to help with set up and take down of decorations, concession sales, face painting, and temporary tattoos.

Sunday, March 22 through Sunday, March 29, 2026

Join us for a week long takeover at BBQ2U! Skip cooking and support our school at the same time! Mention Harbor Heights when you order and a portion of your purchase will go back to the VPO to support our student programs.

Remember to drop your receipt in the jar at the register to support Harbor Heights Elementary!
